I started George Electrical in 2019 as a one-man operation after completing a challenging four-year electrical apprenticeship. Initially, the business focused on domestic electrical work. As our reputation for reliability and quality workmanship grew, so did our client base. In 2024, the company was incorporated as a limited company, allowing us to focus on sustainable growth while maintaining the standards that built the business.
Today, we work with new and returning domestic customers, as well as estate agents, landlords, business owners, and clients across commercial and industrial sectors throughout the region. Our aim is to provide dependable electrical services that help keep homes safe, landlords compliant, and businesses running smoothly.
We are approved contractors registered with NICEIC - electrical certification body, UK and were recently accepted onto the Electrical Contractors' Association (ECA) scheme, reflecting our commitment to maintaining high professional and technical standards.
Our services cover reactive call-outs, fault finding, installations, electrical testing, design, and planned maintenance. From replacing a light fitting in a home to delivering larger commercial installation projects, every job is completed with care, safety, and professionalism.

Technical Compliance & Professional Support
As an ECA Member, our organisation is independently technically assessed, on a regular basis. This ensures that we manage, supervise and carry out our work to the required technical standards with the necessary skill, knowledge and experience. We are, therefore, pleased to share our technical compliance certificate with our clients to demonstrate the areas of electrotechnical work where our organisation has been successfully technically assessed.
ECA also offers a Guarantee of Works and an insurance-backed Bond which ECA Members can provide to their clients at no charge (subject to terms and conditions). These products provide assurances that the work our organisation carries out, is in line with our technical compliance certificate, will meet the relevant UK technical standards and in the case of the Bond it provides cover for the client, in the unlikely event of our insolvency.
Finally, in addition to our own in-house capability, our organisation has ready access to professional technical support from ECA across a broad range of electrotechnical matters. ECA also provides us with access to professional health and safety, business, environmental, and employment and skills support via dedicated helplines and our 'Members only' area of the ECA website.
